Romans 3:12–20

12  All have turned aside; together they have become worthless;

no one does good,

not even one.

13  oTheir throat is pan open grave;

they use their tongues to deceive.

qThe venom of asps is under their lips.

14  rTheir mouth is full of curses and bitterness.

15  sTheir feet are swift to shed blood;

16  in their paths are ruin and misery,

17  and tthe way of peace they have not known.

18  uThere is no fear of God before their eyes.

19 Now we know that whatever vthe law says it speaks to those who are under the law, wso that every mouth may be stopped, and xthe whole world may be held accountable to God. 20 For yby works of the law no human being1 will be justified in his sight, since zthrough the law comes knowledge of sin.

Isaiah 2:8

Their land is zfilled with idols;

they bow down to athe work of their hands,

to what their own fingers have made.

2 Timothy 4:3

mFor the time is coming when people will not endure nsound1 teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,

Ephesians 2:4–6

But1 God, being rrich in mercy, sbecause of the great love with which he loved us, even twhen we were dead in our trespasses, umade us alive together with Christvby grace you have been saved and raised us up with him and wseated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

John 11:43

43 When he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice, Lazarus, come out.

Luke 15:24

24 For this my son dwas dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to celebrate.

1 Corinthians 15:51–56

51 Behold! I tell you a mystery. sWe shall not all sleep, tbut we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For uthe trumpet will sound, and vthe dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. 53 For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and wthis mortal body must put on immortality. 54 When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:

xDeath is swallowed up in victory.

55  yO death, where is your victory?

O death, where is your sting?

56 The sting of death is sin, and zthe power of sin is the law.
