Psalm 78:3

things that we have heard and known,

that our lfathers have told us.


Exodus 10:2

and sthat you may tell in the hearing of your son and of your grandson how I have dealt harshly with the Egyptians and what signs I have done among them, tthat you may know that I am the Lord.


Exodus 12:26–27

26 And lwhen your children say to you, What do you mean by this service? 27 you shall say, mIt is the sacrifice of the Lord’s Passover, for he passed over the houses of the people of Israel in Egypt, when he struck the Egyptians but spared our houses. And the people nbowed their heads and worshiped.


Exodus 13:8

yYou shall tell your son on that day, It is because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.


Exodus 13:14–15

14 gAnd when in time to come your son asks you, What does this mean? you shall say to him, hBy a strong hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, from the house of islavery. 15 For when Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, the jLord killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man and the firstborn of animals. Therefore I sacrifice to the Lord all the males that first open the womb, but kall the firstborn of my sons I redeem.


Judges 6:13

13 And Gideon said to him, Please, my lord, if the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are zall his wonderful deeds athat our fathers recounted to us, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? But now the Lord has forsaken us and given us into the hand of Midian.


Deuteronomy 6:20–23

20 xWhen your son asks you in time to come, What is the meaning of the testimonies and the statutes and the rules that the Lord our God has commanded you? 21 then you shall say to your son, yWe were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt. And the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand. 22 And zthe Lord showed signs and wonders, great and grievous, against Egypt and against Pharaoh and all his household, before our eyes. 23 And he brought us out from there, that he might bring us in and give us the land that he swore to give to our fathers.
