7 “Woe to the world for ^btemptations to sin!^{1 c}For it is necessary that temptations come, ^dbut woe to the one by whom the temptation comes!

30 and ^vfrom among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them.

Some Will Depart from the Faith

1 Now ^xthe Spirit expressly says that ^yin later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to ^zdeceitful spirits and teachings of demons,

False Prophets and Teachers

1 But ^mfalse prophets also arose among the people, ⁿjust as there will be false teachers among you, who will ^osecretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master ^pwho bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
