3  ^qBut you, O Lord, know me;

^ryou see me, and test my heart toward you.

^sPull them out like sheep for the slaughter,

and set them apart for ^tthe day of slaughter.

9  Oh, let the evil of the wicked come to an end,

and may you establish the righteous—

you who ^atest ^bthe minds and hearts,¹

O righteous God!

3  You have ⁱtried my heart, you have ^jvisited me by ^knight,

you have ^ltested me, and you will find nothing;

I have purposed that my mouth will not transgress.

21  ^mwould not God discover this?
