25 “These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. 26 But the ^aHelper, the Holy Spirit, ^bwhom the Father will send in my name, ^che will teach you all things and ^dbring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 When ^tthe Spirit of truth comes, ^uhe will ^vguide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but ^wwhatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. 14 He will ^xglorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. 15 ^yAll that the Father has is mine; ^ztherefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

15 And count ^lthe patience of our Lord as salvation, just as ^mour beloved brother Paul also wrote to you ⁿaccording to the wisdom given him, 16 as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. ^oThere are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, ^pas they do the other Scriptures.

8 To the unmarried and the widows I say that ^cit is good for them to remain single, ^das I am. 9 But if they cannot exercise self-control, ^ethey should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

20 And he said, ^l“What comes out of a person is what defiles him. 21 For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, ^mmurder, adultery, 22 coveting, wickedness, deceit, ⁿsensuality, ^oenvy, ^pslander, ^qpride, ^rfoolishness. 23 ^sAll these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”
