Job 19:23–27

23  Oh that my words were written!

Oh that they were tinscribed in a book!

24  Oh that with an iron upen and lead

they were engraved in the rock forever!

25  For I vknow that my wRedeemer lives,

and at the last he will stand upon the xearth.1

26  And after my skin has been thus destroyed,

yet in2 my flesh I shall ysee God,

27  whom I shall see for myself,

and my eyes shall behold, and not zanother.

My heart afaints within me!

Psalm 23

The Lord Is My Shepherd

A Psalm of David.

The Lord is my dshepherd; I shall not ewant.

He makes me lie down in green fpastures.

He leads me beside still waters.1

He grestores my soul.

He hleads me in ipaths of righteousness2

for his jname’s sake.

Even though I kwalk through the valley of lthe shadow of death,3

I will mfear no evil,

for nyou are with me;

your orod and your staff,

they comfort me.

You pprepare a table before me

in qthe presence of my enemies;

you ranoint my head with oil;

my scup overflows.

Surely4 goodness and mercy5 shall follow me

all the days of my life,

and I shall tdwell6 in the house of the Lord

uforever.7

John 10:27–30

27 nMy sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 oI give them eternal life, and pthey will never perish, and qno one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, rwho has given them to me,1 sis greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of tthe Father’s hand. 30 uI and the Father are one.

John 14:1–6

I Am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life

dLet not your hearts be troubled. eBelieve in God;1 believe also in me. In fmy Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that gI go to prepare a place for you?2 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you hto myself, that iwhere I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.3 jThomas said to him, Lord, kwe do not know where you are going. How can we know the way? Jesus said to him, I am lthe way, and mthe truth, and nthe life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
