The Reading of the Law

9 Then Moses ^rwrote this law and gave it to the priests, the sons of Levi, ^swho carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to all the elders of Israel.

26 “Take this Book of the Law ^aand put it by the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there for ^ba witness against you.

Hilkiah Finds the Book of the Law

8 And Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the secretary, “I have found ⁱthe Book of the Law in the house of the Lord.” And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it.

14 While they were bringing out the money that had been brought into the house of the Lord, ^vHilkiah the priest found the Book of the Law of the Lord given through¹ Moses.
