2 Samuel 23:6–7

But worthless men1 are all like thorns that are thrown away,

for they cannot be taken with the hand;

but the man who touches them

arms himself with iron and the shaft of a spear,

and they are utterly consumed with fire.2


Nahum 1:10

10  For they are zlike entangled thorns,

like drunkards as they drink;

athey are consumed like stubble fully dried.


Ezekiel 2:6

And you, son of man, lbe not afraid of them, nor be afraid of their words, mthough briers and thorns are with you and you sit on nscorpions.1 Be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.
