Stand Firm

13 But ^xwe ought always to give thanks to God for you, ^ybrothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you ^zas the firstfruits^{1 a}to be saved, ^bthrough sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.

22 Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for ^ba sincere brotherly love, ^clove one another earnestly from a pure heart,

3 Already ^wyou are clean ^xbecause of the word that I have spoken to you.
